OFFICIATING:
Each School is required to supply officials as shown on the last two pages of this document.
The use of non-PE trained teachers, parent helpers, CSLA and Sports Leaders/Ambassadors/6th formers is encouraged. It is very important that long throws are adequately staffed. In no way should competitors be expected to help with officiating.
All equipment will be provided by the stadium.

QUALIFICATION FOR FINALS:
In all events the FIRST TWO finishers from each heat and FOUR FASTEST LOSERS principle will operate.
There will be two nominated reserves for finals who will be permitted to replace non arrivals for finals.
All track events will be run in two heats except the 1500 metres races which will be run as straight finals.
800 metres heats will be run off the curved start if more than 8 runners report for each event. If only eight or less runners report for an event it will be run as a straight final at the listed time for the heats.
If more than eight runners report for Under 16 Girls 300 metres Hurdles or Under 16 Boys 400 metres Hurdles the event will be run as graded finals at the time stated for heats.

POINTS FOR FINALS:

Relays will score 1st = 16points through to 16th = 1point. Remember that these are Graded Finals.
There is a separate competition for relays so schools are encouraged to enter all age groups.
